Ruth Fielding Homeward Bound; or A Red Cross Worker’s Ocean Perils is the 15th in this 30-volume series from the Stratemeyer Syndicate. Alice B. Emerson was the pseudonym for various authors of the series, including Mildred Wirt Benson (author of Nancy Drew and many other series). In this story Ruth has an exciting trip home from the Great War (World War I) to help her parents.
